I had wanted a dress that looked beautiful on, but had more of a modern, than a traditional appearance. Besides being lightweight, and comfortable,the fabric has a cool textured look and feel, that gives enough interest on it's own, without any sequins or beading, which was something I wanted to avoid. It has a sweetheart neckline, and slight v dip in the back. This Nicole Miller also has a subtle train, that one could easily wear as is for the day, or it can be bustled, (which was professionally done, and really looked gorgeous). Everyone loved the dress, and commented on how stunning, yet minimalist it was. I choose to accessorize with a bold, mercury glass colored rhinestone bib necklace, and simple stud earrings. The possibilities to make it your own are really endless. My wedding was outside, and I wore flats. I'm just barely under 5' 6", and the dress was a little long, but would be perfect for someone my height wearing a heel, or of course the length can be taken up. Beside the bustle, there have been no alterations to the dress. It was professionally dry cleaned, and is in beautiful shape. I bought the dress at a small boutique, I am asking $1200, or best offer.
